"These socks fit nice, but they leave an indentation around my legs after a few hours. Also, for these to be 55% merino wool, the socks are a little slippery when walking around in them. They are nice, but I will stick to the ankle socks."

"My feet are very wide in the toe area, and while I have small ankles, my calves are big. I have a hard time finding socks wide enough for both my feet and calves. I was so excited to try these socks when they first were available, and ordered my normal size medium. Unfortunately, they were too tight and too short. Fast forward a year and I decided to order a few pairs in a size large. Voila, they fit! Then I compared the Wide Open large to a few pairs of Darn Tough and Smart Wool mediums, and discovered they were the same size! So buyer beware, these socks run a whole size smaller than other wool socks."

But I have older pairs of crew and micro crew, and these are as tall as my older crew pair, and about three inches taller than the older micro crews. Not sure what's up with that, but I would really like to be able to get the thinner sock in an actual micro crew height."
"I was so disappointed that Darn Tough socks wouldn't work for my super wide feet, because I discovered washable merino wool socks when I visited Australia and found just how comfy they were. But at the store a sales person told me about Wide Open, and in the store they actually went on over my other socks so I knew they'd still fit after a wash! I got the blue and LOVED them, so comfy all day, be it flats or Mary Janes. They are on the thinner side, so while they work with sneakers, for me they were slipping and I don't know that they would work for standing/walking all day. And they look cute enough I might even try the whole socks-with-a-skirt thing. My star is taken off b/c they are fuzzing up like they're ready to pill after about 3 washes/6 wears and while I want to order more, I can't combine the order with Darn Tough to get socks for any of my other family members."
