We created Wide Open based on your need for a wider fitting sock. We take your feedback to heart, which helps us develop new designs and test our products to make our socks even better.
How It Works
The application process is quick and easy. To get started, follow the steps below to see if you qualify:

Click to apply and complete a short questionnaire so we can get to know you a bit better.

Qualify
If our team thinks you’re a good fit for product testing, we’ll reach out to you via email.

Test
We’ll send you one or more products to test, followed by an online survey for giving feedback.
Testing Process
Accept
If selected for the program, we’ll reach out to you via email to secure your spot and confirm your information. Once you’ve accepted, we’ll send you socks to test.
Receive
You’ll be sent one or more products to test, along with information on what to look for. You’ll also receive a survey link to fill out when providing feedback.
Test
This is the fun part. Slip on our socks and get to testing. And please, don’t hold back. We value your feedback and want you to tell us what you think works (and what doesn’t).
Feedback
After testing, you’ll receive a link to an online survey where you can provide feedback. Using your input, we’ll make adjustments and make our socks even better.
We Make Updates
Our Innovation Team sits in the same building that our socks are knit in. So, after sourcing your feedback, we’ll get to work on making any updates.
Tester FAQs
I applied a while ago and haven’t heard back. Did I not qualify?
Product tests have limited availability, so if you haven’t heard back from us, it’s likely you didn’t qualify. Depending on the product, our team looks at characteristics such as sizing, demographics, and/or attributes to help select the best testers.
What do I get from being a tester?
In addition to helping us reshape the sock industry, product testers will also get the opportunity to vote on upcoming sock designs and be granted early access to new product releases.
What if I don’t like the product I’m testing?
If you don’t like the product you’re testing, please tell us. The whole point of this process is to determine how we can make our socks better, and your feedback – be it positive or negative – is how we do that.
Can I tell people about the tester program?
Yes, absolutely. Feel free to tell your friends and family about the tester program and encourage them to apply if they too have any interest in becoming a product tester for Wide Open.
Do I get to keep the product I’m testing when I’m done with it?
Yes, you get to keep any product that you helped test for us. After submitting your feedback, the socks are yours to keep.
