"I really wanted to like these - the toe space is definitely generous and lives up to the advertised quality. The upper part of the socks however, is very tight on my legs. I have large calves, and can’t wear most generally available socks. I wear diabetic socks, which are very generous in their stretch. Wide open socks do not have that give. They left deep marks on my legs, and eventually just rolled down to my ankles. I am not able to comfortably wear these socks."
"Socks look and feel great; I've been the sock has been upgraded to make it more durable. I hope so as my previous Wide Opens wore through in the ball of my foot much quicker than anticipated. I am grateful for the Wide Open guarantee!"
"The Wide Open socks are the most comfortable socks I have found, and the most durable. However, I wear socks all day everyday so after a couple months I still develop holes. That’s where their warranty and great customer service shines. Be aware though that if you return your socks under warranty, you are still on the hook for return shipping. I recently found slippers that greatly reduce the amount of wear that results in holes so I’m happy about that."
"despite being larger than my size, they get a bit better after washing and I enjoy wearing them. They are very comfortable. I prefer the patterned ones to solid colors, they fit better and feel somhow right to the size. I advise everyone to give it a try and judge for themselves. Customer service is unbleivalby good and their courtesy and professionalism is exceptional. A good company!"
"I was a Darn Tough customer and have developed peripheral neuropathy in my feet. I was hoping these sock would help. Alas,they didn’t. Not the socks fault…just my age catching up with me."
"Te toe pocket on my previous socks is too restrictive. I need to spend too much time stretching them out, before trying to squeeze them onto my feet. These Wide Open socks are much easier to put on. I will be ordering more."
