"Upon receipt of the socks I washed them first before wearing. Washed in cold water and air dried to prevent shrinking. Wore the socks to work and by the end of the day I had a band around my leg where the top of the sock hugged my leg. I was hoping with the wide area that it wouldn't make an impression on my leg. The size is my normal size but I will try the next size up to compare. The part on my foot was comfortable."
