We do one thing, and we do it better than anyone else. In a society that caters to straight and narrow sizes, we noticed that sock standards didn’t exist for wide legs and feet – so we created them.
HOW WE BEGAN
We’ve been knitting socks in Vermont for over 45 years. And for 45 years, our customers were always one step ahead. So, when they came to us and asked why we didn’t knit a wider-fitting sock, we promptly got to work. Nobody was knitting quality socks for wide legs and feet at the time. But the opportunity was wide open – so we took it.

THE JOURNEY SO FAR
The Inception
A customer’s request for a wider sock kickstarted our journey. Countless rounds of testing and 2 years of exploration later, we launched Wide Open.
The Inclusion
Four months later, your feedback inspired us to knit Men’s XXL and Women’s XL sizes in all colors, adding to our inclusive lineup.
The Invitation
In 2024, we launched our testing program to get real-time customer feedback, resulting in thousands of applications in a few months.
